An identity without an identity

Image
An Identity Without an Identity In this world, everything — every living or non-living being — holds an identity, a name, a value. Whether it’s a person, an insect, a tree, or even something we cannot see but can only feel — each carries its own distinct existence. Be it a small creature invisible to our naked eyes or be it the air which we can only feel rather than touch or see.  When a child is born, the world first recognizes them through the identity of their parents. But as they grow, they begin to create and live through an identity of their own. This world accepts them with open arms and hearts and allows them to dream the path of education,Job,Marriage, being parents and much more. With this identity of their own and parents identity they are given the right to do everything that they desire and dream of. Yet, in our society, there are children ( Care leavers ) who are denied even this simple right — the right to know who they are and where they come from. These are the...

When the Martyrs of India Asked Me Questions"

Image
Note : This is a fictional story, written with imagination and emotion. It brings alive the voices of our freedom fighters. The aim is to remind us of their dreams and our responsibilities today. Today was the Independence Day of my country, yet I don’t know why my heart felt so heavy and sad. There was a beautiful fragrance in the air, the birds were chirping, the sky was open with the flight of free birds, the weather was pleasant, and the soft breeze was touching the soul. The scene was so beautiful, enough to heal any sad heart. But still, I don’t know why, I don’t know why my heart remained sorrowful, and a sigh kept slipping from my lips. I had thought that today, like everyone else, I would celebrate my nation’s independence with great joy. I left home with this very hope — that by looking at my flag, I might forget all my sorrows, that I might for a moment free myself from the responsibilities weighing down my shoulders, that by seeing my tricolor and hearing my national an...

When the wings were clipped by a piece of paper.

Image
Some dreams don’t die with a loud crash — they fall quietly, like feathers in the wind, leaving behind an ache that lingers for years. This is the story of the day my wings were clipped — not by failure, not by lack of ability, but by something as simple, and as cruel, as a single piece of paper ( Money). It has been one and a half years since that day, but I still remember every moment — that day, that time, that very instant when the wings I had built with so much hard work were cut off… just because of a single piece of paper, which I did not have at that moment. It was evening when I received a call from a friend. She asked me, “Have you taken admission in Post Basic Nursing?” I said, “When was the admission form released?” She told me it had been three or four days, and tomorrow was the last date. I replied, “Alright, I will go tomorrow itself with my documents to the college where I got selected,” because I had taken the entrance exam — a big exam — and I had qualified with ...

Image
MODI'S GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE MISSIONS IN KASHMIR: BY HAJRA BANO Hajrabano1910@GMAIL.COM Kashmir wounds run deep not only from the years of conflict or battles that they face, both seen or unseen. Beneath this stunning valley and snow-capped mountains of Kashmir lie countless stories of pain and struggles faced by its people. Among these battles, one of the hardest fights which people fought has been against disease and lack of healthcare system that often steals the healthy lives of the only bread maker of the family, or the father's wish of a beautiful future seen for his children, or chilling and wailing reality of inadequate health care for a pregnant woman. For years this harsh, limited reality of the healthcare system has often failed the wailing of an old mother and snatched the lives of uncountable souls of smiling children in silence. But now, when hope was at its edge, another wave of hopeful voice rose and stood as a beacon, restoring the faded hope and rewriting th...

Advancement in aerospace and India's bid to contest most powerful countries  BY HAJRA BANO hajrabano1910@gmail.com In a narrative where power is primarily assessed from a military or economic standpoint, India seems to be unfolding a different storyline marked by rockets, satellites, and unwavering hope. This is not merely about technology; it’s about a nation of 1.4 billion people boldly attempting to dream beyond their hardships—showing the world that true greatness is not crafted from wealth, but rather born out of vision and steadfast resolve.   THE SPACE ODYSSEY: FROM VILLAGES TO MOON India’s journey into space began with small aspirations. In 1963, scientists rode their bicycles with rocket parts as they prepped to launch a coconut grove jet in Kerala. Today, ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organization, is now a part of the elite global space research organizations. What led to this success?   Mangalyaan: In 2013, India earned the title for the fir...

Care Leavers in India: The Invisible Struggle for Identity and Support

Image
The world expects us to stand alone, but who teaches us how?We don’t just want to exist—we want to live with dignity. By Hajra Bano  Hajrabano1910@gmail.com Thousands of young adults from child care institutions like orphanages and foster care systems in India exit when they reach the age of 18. The world wants us to be independent, to stand on our own two feet, but nobody knows about the invisible struggle we endure. Without a family to turn back to, without a place to call home, our path into adulthood is one of uncertainty, isolation, and struggle. Our struggles are not merely financial or material—they are struggles of identity, belonging, and survival in a world that frequently ignores us. The Identity Crisis: Who Are We? Living in an institution means growing up with a gap—a name without a past, a life without heritage. Legal Identity: A Struggle for Documents In India, all things—education, employment, even as simple as the purchase of a SIM card—are made possible through le...

Winning of Delhi Election is the Winning of the Whole Country, and Winning of Kashmir is the Winning of the Crown in the World: A Road Ahead”

Delhi shapes India's leadership and governance, while Kashmir defines its strength and unity.A strong Delhi and a stable Kashmir together ensure a powerful and united India. By Hajra Bano  Hajrabano1910@ gmail.com Just like a human body, India has Delhi at the center of its heart and Kashmir at the top like a crown. They both possess major significance, which can not be dwindled. India cannot win the hearts of the people without embracing the crown. Delhi is the north part and is the center of law and policy making, and Kashmir is the south head and the center of security. Delhi: The Political and Economic Center The Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, and Aam Aadmi Party are four major political parties and their success in Delhi pretty much decides their power in the rest of the country. The success of the political party in power in the nation’s capital, Delhi, determines who rules the country. Because of these factors, all of India keenly waits to see who wins the...
